By Show Me The Buckles and out of none other than Insane for Fame, the 2012 Barrel Horse of the Year, Sunset Blvd is the rare package where bloodlines and ability meet in the same horse. Her dam's credentials speak for themselves; bred to run, built to perform, and proven at the highest level in the barrel pen. Her sire doesn't need an introduction, he is one of the most influential sires for the Relentless Remuda program. Sunset has the best of both worlds from this cross, the speed from the bottom side, but has a reiner handle from the top side.
She arrives at the Old West Rope Horse Futurity sale as one of the more exciting young prospects in the pen — a filly with the foundation already underneath her and a ceiling that's hard to find. By Show Me The Buckles and out of Relentless Glory, this filly represents something deeper than just a talented young prospect , she is the living foundation of a breeding program that we built with purpose. Her dam, Relentless Glory, was one of the very first horses raised by Trevor Brazile, the most decorated cowboy in the history of professional rodeo. Glory's dam is a full sibling to Deputy ,Trevor's iconic NFR calf horse , making this filly a direct descendant of one of the most influential maternal lines in the rope horse world.
Relentless Glory was one of our original futurity horses, running through our program from the very beginning. Relentless Empire is the next chapter of that story, and she is writing it beautifully.
At this point in her three-year-old career, she is as good as any three-year-old we've had in our program.

Posty is everything you could ask for in a futurity heel horse prospect. He has a ton of eye appeal and expression while working. He is built as cool as you can build one for a heel horse. He is stout, cinches up deep, and is put together well. He is overall built strong.
In the roping pen, he checks every box. Smart on cattle, physical, quick footed, and holds a frame really well down the pen and through the corner. He is good in the box, strong to the horn, and has the kind of natural cow sense that you can't manufacture. He is well along in the heeling process and wouldn't take long to have ready in the breakaway.
Co-owned with Joseph Harrison, a horseman whose success in the futurity pen and rodeo arena speaks for itself, Posty has called our program home through his training process. Having a partner with Joseph's eye and standard means this gelding has had the right people invested in him from the start.

When Jake Cooper rodeoed on Bucks For Bullets as a five-year-old, Trevor took notice of the big, pretty mare, how she worked, and how good minded she was. When we started collecting mares to breed to Buckles, she was one of the first he thought of. Show Me Relentless is the result of that cross, and she has been everything we thought she would be.
She has been in Trevor's show barn since she came back from the colt starter and has the stamp of approval. She is a big, strong mare with a lot of run. She wants to be great in the box, runs under your swing, carries your loop, and is easy to rope the horns on. She wants to face and is serious about it. "At the end of her futurity career they will talk about her scoring, her speed, and the way she finishes a run."

Bred and raised by Relentless Remuda and Solo Select Horses, she is a product of two programs that take the long view on horses and it shows in the way she is made and the way she carries herself.
